Classroom corners

Classroom corners

It is very important to organize the classroom in a way that attracts children's attention, respects their basic needs, and above all, provides security and confidence.
In this regard, Sallán (1996) maintains that the educational space is an element that allows educational action to be organized, and for this, as teachers, we must consider the physical space where the action will take place, the time we will have available to develop it, and the resources, both didactic and material, that we need to initiate it.
The spatial organization based on the model of play or activity corners consists of dividing the classroom into various spaces where different activities related to the basic needs of children are carried out. This allows them to visually recognize the possibilities of activity and the materials in each corner.
In my classroom, there are different fixed corners throughout the year and others that change according to the center of interest or objectives we aim to achieve.
